“believe” isn’t the infinity form of the verb. it’s a command. so the subject is “you”
in italian, that mode of the verb is called “imperativo”. basically it’s only for the second person (there’s no command with “I” as a subject, there might be a form of command for “he” or “she”, but let’s focus on “you” for now)
to make “imperativo”, you just DON’T include the subject
no “you”
no “tu”
so, “tu credi” is just a statement, while “credi” is a command
